Help Shape the Future of Mountain Biking in Cape Breton

Victoria County is hosting a public engagement session with Shoreline Dirtworks to help shape the future of mountain biking in the region—and you’re invited to be part of the conversation.

Date: Wednesday, May 28, 2025
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Location: St. John’s Hall, 35981 Cabot Trail Road, Ingonish

Mountain biking is more than just a great way to get outside. It’s a growing industry that supports healthier communities, boosts local economies, attracts visitors and helps regions thrive—especially during shoulder seasons.

This session will explore how mountain biking can become a key part of the tourism and recreation landscape in Victoria County, and how the region can work toward becoming one of North America’s top mountain biking destinations.

All are welcome—local businesses, tourism operators, youth, recreation advocates, community groups and anyone interested in the future of outdoor adventure on Cape Breton Island.
