Tourism Training and HR Support Available for Cape Breton Island Operators

Building a stronger tourism workforce starts with effective HR practices supported by practical training. Destination Cape Breton is pleased to share that online courses and in-person workshops are available again this year through our partnership with the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS) and the Nova Scotia Tourism Human Resource Council.

This program connects eligible tourism businesses and their teams with quality E-learning and customized training opportunities — at no cost — supporting service excellence, staff development and HR best practices and tools across the Island.

Who Is Eligible?

Tourism businesses and their staff across Cape Breton Island are eligible to participate, including operators in accommodation, food and beverage, attractions and related sectors.

Some restrictions may apply to government-funded organizations – please connect if you have any questions.

Not sure if your business or team members qualify? Reach out before submitting a request — we’re happy to discuss.
